ViziLite Plus Certification Program

The ViziLite Plus Certification Program is designed to recognize practices and practice hygiene staff members that have demonstrated a strong commitment to:

 The early detection of oral cancer using ViziLite Plus

1. Integrating ViziLite Plus into the operation of the practice by aligning with identified "best practices"
2. Enhancing the standard of care delivered to patients

 What does ViziLite Plus Certification mean?

There are two types of certification: 

1. Practice Certification
2. Dental Hygienist Certification

   Practice Certification Requirements:

   1. Review of ViziLite Training CD
   2. Practice is actively utilizing the ViziLite Oral Cancer Patient Brochure
   3. Practice utilizes the patient consent form and mouth map
   4. Practice has performed at least 40 ViziLite examinations  

   Dental Hygienist Certification Requirements:

   1. Must be actively working with a ViziLite Plus Certified practice
   2. Review of ViziLite Training CD
   3. Actively uses the patient consent form and mouth map
   4. Has performed at least 40 ViziLite examinations

What are the benefits of becoming ViziLite Plus Certified?

Upon certification, the dental practice will receive: 

1. Priority listing in ViziLite Plus Web Locator search results. Hundreds of patients looking for a provider utilize our online Practice Locator each week. As a ViziLite Certified Provider, your practice will receive a priority listing that will appear before other non-certified providers.
2. A ViziLite Plus Certified door sticker that will clearly communicate this status to all patients as they enter and/or leave your practice.
3. A supply of buttons for all practice staff indicating the certification.
4. A ViziLite Plus Certified counter card (with easel) suitable for placement on the practice's check-in counter.
5. A practice certificate of ViziLite Plus Certification that is suitable for framing and displaying in the practice.  

Upon certification, the dental hygienist will receive: 

1. A certificate of ViziLite Plus Certification that is suitable for framing and displaying in the practice.
2. A professional achievement suitable for inclusion on the hygienist' CV or resume.  

How is ViziLite Plus Certification Obtained?

Practice Certification Process

1. The first step in the practice certification process is for the dentist to complete and return the ViziLite Plus Practice Certification Form (click here to access this form). The completed form can be mailed or faxed.

2. Upon receipt, review, and acceptance of a practice's application, the practice will become a ViziLite Plus certified practice.

Dental Hygienist Certification Process

1. On behalf of the Dental Hygienist, the dentist must complete, sign, and return the Dental Hygienist ViziLite Plus Certification Form (click here to access this form). The completed form can be mailed or faxed.

2. Upon receipt, review, and acceptance of a dentist’s submission of a hygienist's application, the hygienist will become ViziLite Plus Certified.
